My Approach

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT is an evidence-based, structured, treatment that is collaborative in nature, such that the therapist and client work together in achieving the client’s treatment goals. CBT views thoughts, emotions, and behaviours as being connected, and explores how unhelpful thinking patterns affect people's problems and leave them feeling stuck, anxious, and/or depressed. CBT has been to shown to be effective in a range of disorders, including, but limited to, depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and insomnia.

Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)

DBT is an evidence-based treatment that was originally developed to help individuals who experience intense emotions and have difficulty regulating their emotions. These intense emotions often lead to impulsivity and interpersonal difficulty. DBT is an effective treatment for a range clinical issues, including, but not limited to, Borderline Personality Disorder, substance use, and eating disorders.
